Outstanding Student Paper

The Conference Committee of the Intstitute for Russian Music Studies has awarded Ryan Gourley the Student Scholar Award for his outstanding conference paper delivered at the 2023 Annual Conference in Vipiteno-Sterzing, Italy. Ryan presented a paper titled “Feodor Chaliapin in Harbin’s Diasporic Imagination,” prepared in honor of the 150th anniversary of opera singer’s birth.
