Presentation in Italy

I presented a paper titled “Feodor Chaliapin in Harbin’s Diasporic Imagination” at the 2023 Annual Conference of the Institute for Russian Music Studies. The paper examines Feodor Chaliapin’s East Asian tour and his role in connecting Russian émigrés in the city of Harbin, Manchuria to the global Russian diaspora.
